Comcast-Spectacor, the Philadelphia-based sports and entertainment firm, in a new and exciting partnership with world-renowned developers The Cordish Company, unveiled plans to develop Philly Live!, a destination retail, dining and entertainment district in the area adjacent to the Wachovia Center in South Philadelphia, PA.

Arnold Imaging was retained by The Cordish Company to create renderings for the press announcement. At the time of the engagement, detailed plans and elevations had not been completed yet. Arnold Imaging Awarded Project in Puerto Rico

Donato Design and Development has selected Arnold Imaging to create a three minute HD animation and a series of still renderings of their latest residential condominium project. The project is located across the street from a new light rail station, so our animation will not only illustrate the building’s design, but also present the benefits of being so close to a mass transit line. The animation will also show what the main lobby will look like and present a virtual tour of a typical unit. The upper floor units will have spectacular views of the ocean, so real photographs of the views will be depicted in the virtual tour.

Arnold Imaging was awarded the rendering contract for a residential development in Costa Rica. The project, named The Ivy, will consist of 50 modern attached condominiums and is being developed by the DWL Development Group. Our goal is to create a series of still images that show the clean lines of the design but in a warm and inviting light. The images will depict the units at dusk and allow the interiors to glow with warm incandescent light, while the exteriors are bathed in the cool blue glow of the summer evening sky. Check back in 2 weeks to see how the project turned out.

Arnold Imaging Selected for Mixed-Use Project in India

The Royal Indian Raj International Corporation has retained our services to create a virtual tour of a mixed-use town center development outside of Bangalore, India. The 150,000 sf project is modeled after a European town square and will house a mixture of retail shops, a hotel, office space, and residential condominium units. The plans call for the majority of the parking for the project to be underground, which will enable development fit in well with its natural surroundings, and allow for people to walk, shop, and dine in a truly pedestrian friendly area. Our scope consists of creating both a series of high resolution still renderings and a 2 minute high definition animation.

Rolling! Imax Film Tests Begin

Imax Green Screen Testing Begins

We put our new Kino Flo lights to work today with the first round of live action tests for the 3D Imax film, We the People that we are working on. The film, scheduled to premiere next fall, portrays the events surrounding the signing of the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. The tests today will help us finalize the digital workflow that will be implemented during production. 3D Imax presents some tremendous data storage challenges, as the image size is roughly 8 times the size of today’s High Definition displays (which are already data intensive).
